Easy Elsie

Hi everyone,

Its very strange but no-one seems to be interested in the remains of Easy Elsie bar us! I contacted several museums some time ago about the possibility of storage/displaying the remains at their premises but they turned me down. I'm not going to name and shame, but I would have thought that a Dambusters squadron Lanc would have been a major attraction.

Anyway the bottom line is my recovery idea is up the creek with no means of propulsion, so I was wondering if anyone could suggest somewhere, or offer somewhere to put the remains.

I'm trying to get some pictures sent in to the gallery too, so everyone can have a peek at what I'm trying to rescue!

BBC news this morning mentioned the service at St Pauls to 55,000 Bomber Command aircrew who lost their lives, and the fact there would be a flypast by the "last surviving Lancaster bomber". When will they learn....

Cheers,
Richard

P.S. Elliot can you contact me , I tried to send you the report, but all I got was a message saying that the e-mail address was wrong.
