You didn't get your own way in a deal once, therefore all Museums are bad???
I for one am proud of what UK aviation Museums have achieved and am pleased to be a donor to several of them. Do you really think that the large majority of Museums in the UK wouldn't give their right arm to have a Lanc in their collection???
Given how the discussion went for joint ownership of a warbird a few months back (i.e. naive in the extreme), I think it is extremely rich of folks on this board to sit on their high horses and criticise how others manage their financial affairs.
Enthusiasm and imagination are wonderful things but sometimes they do need to be tempered with a dose of reality.
