Richard, I can only agree with you that it is sad that no one seems to be interested in the remains of this aircraft.
Unfortunately the interest in Sweden is rather limited too when even the Flygvapenmuseum in Sweden isn't interested in the remains.
An option I'd like to see an exhibition about the neutrality patrols made by the Swedish Air Force during the war. The exhibition could illustrate how crippled bombers were guided to an airfield, some made it, and some didn't make it with crashes. Some airmen actually married and stayed in Sweden after the war, others less fortunate were burried in sweden and so on. Aircraft were shot down and Swedish aircraft were shot down, so I think that these remains could be put to good use to illustrate that part of the history.
As you can understand from the above my personal view is that the remains should be preserved in Sweden and used to illustrate the history of WWII from a slightly different point of view than it pobably would be done in England. Though if the interest is non exsistent in Sweden I'd rather let the stuff go to be preserved in England, than just rotting away. So hopefully someone gets it act together in either England or Sweden and recovers the stuff!
Cheers!

: Hi everyone,
:
: Its very strange but no-one seems to be interested in the
: remains of Easy Elsie bar us! I contacted several museums
: some time ago about the possibility of storage/displaying
: the remains at their premises but they turned me down. I'm
: not going to name and shame, but I would have thought tha

:
: Anyway the bottom line is my recovery idea is up the creek
: with no means of propulsion, so I was wondering if anyone
: could suggest somewhere, or offer somewhere to put the re
: mains.
:
: I'm trying to get some pictures sent in to the gallery too
: , so everyone can have a peek at what I'm trying to rescue
: !
:
: BBC news this morning mentioned the service at St Pauls to
: 55,000 Bomber Command aircrew who lost their lives, and t
: he fact there would be a flypast by the "last surviving La
