it seems complicated to me, a few laymans thoughts:
What is meant by "lost from view"?
An aircraft surviving scrapping ending up under loads of other scrap is rediscovered three decades later. Has it been "lost from view" and if it has, where does this complete specimen belong?
To claim authenticity would require some serious documentation in addition to documentation required by the aviation authorities, wouldn?t it?
Do You believe that authenticity is important enough for the rebuilders/owners to accept the labour and cost to acchieve this status?
