Spitfire PR.XIX PS890 - ?

Just noticed in the news pages of the Flypast magazine that The Air Museums Spitfire PR.XIX PS890 is just had its R-R Griffon installed complete with counter-rotating propellor assembly.

WHY??

Some indications as to why such a modification is being made would be gratefully received. Is this another valuable aircraft destined for unlimited racing around pylons????
