That's 22 (twenty-two) Spitfires which have either left these shores or have sadly been destroyed in crashes. Wonder how many airframes have come INTO the country during the same time.

Wonder whether we'll go full circle and eventually have only the BBMF Spits and a much smaller select band of privately owned Spits (including TFC,OFMC,RR and Shuttleworth)

Or is that too pessimistic?
