If you could travel back in time to ONE historic event.....

What would it be, and why? You would be an observer only...So, you couldn't go back and stop the sinking of the Titanic, etc...

I'm just curious how other's would answer this question. I realized everything I thought of was horrific in nature. The sinking of the Titanic, the Battle of Gettysburg, Pearl Harbor, Normandy. Then I also realized I already have learned so much about these events that I really wouldn't want to see all that carnage.

Then I realized the most obvious answer, for me, was much more personal. I would like to have the chance to see my Uncle Dean, fly at the third battle of Monte Cassino, for which he was awarded the DFC.

So, what would would you all like to have had the chance to witness???
