B-52 Preservation List

When does an aircraft type transition from being a warplane (active military type) to a Warbird (not longer in use by any service)? Can you consider the B-52 to be a warbird? The current active airframes were built in the early 60's and are expected to be in service for another 25+ years. However many are on display in musuems.
I don't know if B-52s are of interest to the warbird enthusiasts on this site, but just in case they are I found a list of B-52s preserved check out this site...
