Thanks for the note Roger. Hmmm.... actually I tend to agree with Scott that anything ex military is a warbird. It helps make the definition black and white. For example what if a P-3 is retired from military service then taken on by a museum that flies it at airshows. Being such a large aircraft it becomes a financial burden and is no longer maintained in flying condition but rather for static display. Essentially it is a grounded military aircraft, but I would still call it a warbird as it is ex military.
Just my 2 cents.
