Cees,

There are quite a few projects going on....

Peter Smith has 3 cockpit sections (complete framework and firewall) + the remains of R7708 recovered from Pegwell Bay. This included the engine which was in remarkable condition.

Brian Barnes in Coventry has JR505 + at least one engine + a second set of rear main spars and a large lock up full of parts recovered from Holland.

Shoreham have a cockpit section with rear main spars, but no front spars. They have a Tempest V Sabre recovered....not too bad condition seeing as it crashed.

IWM....not history on this one. They never replied to my letter on this.

One in a museum in Norfolk (not found reference to this yet...could be Tempest V of Ted Sinclair)

Roger Marley....same status as Shoreham but with no engine. He has built a rear fuselage to attach aswell as getting some panels made....along with other genuine ones!!

Andy (can't remember his surname off the top of my head) in wales...same status as Shoreham & Roger.

I also have genuine cockpit section brackets & firewall and various throttle quadrants etc....but no main spars as yet...to try to display. If I can get the spars then there are various people who will help build wings (easy construction apparently!!!)....ultimate goal is an airframe but that is a long long way off.

+ all the remains in Holland
+ wing in France (rumoured) and multiple sets of main spars held by a collector (crash sites)

All I can remember off the top of my head Cees

Dave
