The Chippenham one was quite nice and will yield a very nice fuselage up to the tail break, still has engine mount on it too. The reason there are so many projects was the recovery of the Typhoon remains in the early 90s in Gloucestershire. Best part of 40 to 100 Tyffies were cut up and the joints buried. A huge number of Tyffie stix were found. Excellent (though sad) example of sacrificial anode corrosion....basically the sticks were like new but for the magnesium alloy spade grips that had been sacrificed. The brake lever hung off on it bowden cable and the electo pneumatic gun button dangled on its wire.

Regarding pooling, several of the projects are helping each other. I lent Jet Age my instrument panel which will yield me a useable pair, and provide all the others with a pattern. I am also swapping spare controls for parts to get our cockpit advanced. It would be nice if it was a bit more formalised but anyway, at the end of the day, several collections will add an example of this fine aircraft. I should mention that the Tyffie projects are all on a shoe string budget!
