You have to keep in mind that in the end it cost the investors a "few" million dollars to make that recovery happen, not to mention the cost of the restoration.
Even with the proven recovery techniques, I'd imagine the cost alone of retrieving another P-38 from the glacier would probably equal out to the value of a machine that's already airworthy.
I believe Epps & Taylor were into the project for $2 Million well before the team even began hauling bits to the surface.
As it is, "Glacier Girl" is worth more than the average P-38 due to its originality and the story that goes with her. It might still be attractive to someone with large amounts of money to finance the recovery of a second, or maybe the rest of the planes, but judging from the documentary, there are other things besides money and technology that a potential investor would have to consider.
That said, it IS a hell of an adventure just waiting for the right person (or group) to step up to the plate!
