Photo Scanning Practice

I have asked Ron Olsen if he can take a look at some scans I have done and critique them for me. If there is anyone else with some experience in scanning prints, negative and slides I wouldn't mind if I heard from you as well. The pictures are posted on...

I scanned the print and negative of a picture of a Mig 17 I took at the Quinte (Trenton) Air Show in 1999. The negative scan quality is so poor I didn't bother to clean away the dust and rescan. The print scan quality is not bad. There is also a slide scan of the DC-3 at the RCAF Memorial Museum (the home of the Halifax). It looks like the slide scan produces the best quality picture.
Any constructive comments anyone?
