I had always intended to try to visit this project when it was in Swindon, never did, I heard it may have moved, anyone know where it is now?
I have the book and thought it was a great acheivement.
I also see that somewhere in Arizona someone has completed a full scale Spitfire replica with an allison engine!! anyone know more about this? just a small note and some pics on the Jurca site

wood wing, metal fuselage
I know how some feel about "replicas" but since sometimes the line is pretty hazy, ie Stormbirds, Flugwerks, Glynn Powell, Tishler, as well the Fury biplane replica, the MB5 with the mustang wing, the comet replica, various Gee Bee`s,
the list is pretty long.
I think that nowadays I am more interested in a replica than the real thing!! I enjoy seeing the effort and methods that people employ to do this, I am not really a student of the history, as much as an admirer of the build process. Matter of fact, ( about to make the British cringe!) I think the comet ( DH88) with a couple of small garret turboprops would make one heck of an airplane!
