Seeing again the notes on Dick Odgers and the P-82 sent me digging for a Challenge Publication from 1995 called WARBIRDS SPECIAL WARBIRD Vol.1 No.1. This 87-page magazine had a single page (p.63) article on the recovery of P-82 parts including the 5 data plates, 46-393, 46-382, 46-395, 46-391, and either 46-386 or -387 (for which he found vertical fins for both). That article even said he thought there were remains of two G-model P-51s in the scrapyard. (Is that possible???). Sure wish someone would do a few new-build P-82s, preferably B-models though, a prettier bird.

Now this old Warbird magazine also had a 2-page update(p. 20-21) on the Texas Air Museum Fw-190F-8 being restored in Rio Hondo, Texas. I haven't been following this long story closely at all over the years. What is the status of that restioration? If one were to make a prediction on the next (first) 5 Fw-190 restorations or replicas to fly (in order) what would you say (give approx. dates, owners, location,...). Please post a prediction list. Thanks!
