Interesting Picture.... when was it taken?

Hi Rob... that really was a cool picture! Yes, I knew that Kevin had moved the rear fuselage back to Corning. I met him at the NWM to get some parts from him on Sept. 9th 2001... Fuddy Duddy was doing her last paying flights in the background. The fuselage was at the NWM at the time. He told me that he had two spars, one from the FG-1D, and the other from one of the -4's dug up in Rhode Island many years ago. The FG's spar had been bent slightly when it had crashed in Hawaii; too much to be used in an airworthy restoration apparently. He was going to be using the -4 spar in the rebuild, and was holding onto the FG's spar in case he needed anything from it.
When I asked about the corsair being at Reilly's place, I was referring to the center section. Flypast carried a photograph, in the last year, of Kevin's center section in a jig at Reilly's place, and it was this I wanted pictures of, as it was pretty interesting to see a center section that early on in its rebuild. However, Dave Etchell told me a few months back that Kevin Hooey had sold his corsair to a guy in California. There's more to the story, but that's what's relevant at the moment.
At any rate, I guess the buyer has moved the aircraft to another facility... I'd be interested to know where!
