One can assume that due to the population of Labrador, there isn't the population base or interest to justify the Newfoundland government spending funds to recover and restore an aircraft. (Labrador City is the largest in the territory at 8,500 people, Labrador itself has something like 25,000?) There are dozens of such crash sites across the Island of Newfoundland and Labrador. I guess they just don't fully understand the significance of the B-17. Just my thoughts...Cheers, Troy
