This will almost certainly be the fuselage of Mk IX BR601 recently departed from Bartow In Florida.
Is anybody saying what the plans are for this project?
: This years Fly Day was a little dead on the end of guest a
: ircraft. Main flyers were Lone Star P-47, Corsair, Spitfir
: e, B-25, and Rick Sharpe's Skyraider. Howard showed up in
: the Wildcat but only flew in the missing man at the end an
: d then a gorgeous T-28 showed up. The B-17 flew later in t
: he evening after working out a spark plug problem.
:
: The Bearcat was not there and the SBD was inside waiting b
: asically for the prop. PB4Y still has a ways to go but loo
: ks alot better than she used to. I'd say maybe another yea
: r for that big monster and I'd give the SBD weeks or a few
: months.
:
: Also, the passes weren't as great as in the past and the c
: asual feel was gone too as in the past but hearing and see
: ing the hardware was nice.
:
: One more thing, next to the PB4Y was clearly a Sptifire fu
: selage. However, I'm not totally positive if it was a fake
: . I took some pics of it but they have to be developed and
: scanned of course.
