This years Fly Day was a little dead on the end of guest aircraft. Main flyers were Lone Star P-47, Corsair, Spitfire, B-25, and Rick Sharpe's Skyraider. Howard showed up in the Wildcat but only flew in the missing man at the end and then a gorgeous T-28 showed up. The B-17 flew later in the evening after working out a spark plug problem.
The Bearcat was not there and the SBD was inside waiting basically for the prop. PB4Y still has a ways to go but looks alot better than she used to. I'd say maybe another year for that big monster and I'd give the SBD weeks or a few months.
Also, the passes weren't as great as in the past and the casual feel was gone too as in the past but hearing and seeing the hardware was nice.
One more thing, next to the PB4Y was clearly a Sptifire fuselage. However, I'm not totally positive if it was a fake. I took some pics of it but they have to be developed and scanned of course.
