Hi Cees
you are probably right on all of it, it's a long time since i saw the pic, it was lying nose down with the tail against a wall.
I recall my walks in wales and all the a/c remains that were there and have now gone, there was on one site two boston wings, on another I think ventura engines and bits. I thought they would never go but i have been told a while back that there was nothing there.
some woods near to me had a hurricane wing & bits this disapeared as well, suprised the owner of the woods !
As a spitfire author many years ago said ' in years to come when the price is right many a/c will suddenly emerge '!
I know of an a/c group where there is a battle wing, a fw-190 wing, and a heck of a load of bits of other a/c new and salvaged , that will one in, say 20-30yrs, help a lot of rebuilders.
I recall an article on a lib nose the first a/c fitted with a 20mm gun pack i think !
I have an old friend with some mags i must visit again sometime for info.
cheers
Jerry
