How many people actually know about this plane, and what were the circumstances of its loss? Was it a high speed, high angle impact or a belly landing? Surely if it's not been recovered in an official sense, all the major components will still be there? Whilst it wouldn't be worth recovering in 1944, surely it would in 2002, when people are scouring Fjords and lakes for that type?
