: Jerry,
:
: The Boston wings you mention are probably those which were
: recovered for the UK-basted reconstruction project.
:
: I have several books about the wartime crashes in the UK (
: Snowdonia, Wales, Peak District etc.) I never ceases to am

: For instance, there are still substantial Stirling section

Hi Cees
Down the road ( well almost it's about 1/2hr fom me ) there is a stirling virtually complete, the recovery crew in 44 pulled out an engine came back in the morning and it had sunk into the bog again, they gave up due to the conditions and it being 1944, there are bits on the ground still now, but luckily it is an isolated spot.
But a stirling is big!! and who would put one together and who would keep it !! probably why it is still there !
Cheers
jerry
