Hi All,
There's not much discussion regarding later warbirds on this forum and I was wondering what the groups thoughts are on the later model warbirds, i.e. from the Korean and Vietnam era's. What do you see as collectable, what would you like to see at airshows, museums, being restored to flying condition and so on. Or do you see the need to preserve these "newer" warbirds? For anyone interested in getting a warbird, there appears to be some good deals out there for aircraft projects such as T-28's, OV-1 Mohawk's, S2F Trackers, Cessna O-2's, Beechcraft U-8's and even the odd T-37 and A-37 jets. I was just looking at Barnstormers and Ebay and noticed some great deals including a T-28 restoration project just released from the Navy and a S2F for $15K. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on this.
Thanks.
Ron
