My personal feeling is that warbirds should cover any military aircraft that is no longer in military service. While I would hesitate slightly on a civilian F-18 or F-16, they would in effect be warbirds. I saw the Collings Foundation F-4 fly last year and it was the highlight of the show. I think the trend should migrate toward accpting the newer aircraft as warbirds. I would especially like to see more S-2 Trackers and the like fly. I would really be impressed if somebody got one of the E-1's flying (the AWAC version of the Tracker, think it was called the Tracer). And besides, they are relatively cheap compared to traditional warbirds.
