I once heard of a story (going the rounds at Duxford in the early early days of IWM ownership) about a US Airliner that had to divert to a small airport "somewhere" in Russia

The pilot had gone into a hangar there to see if anybody was about and had found it stacked full of Ju 87s stacked on their noses to get more in.

To be taken with a pinch of salt perhaps given Stalin's purges of men and all material things foreign but I've heard some amazing first hand stories about remaining axis armour. It's well known that 3 World War 1 Mark V tanks still exist in a scrap yard, left over from the Civil War and aftermath so there may well be that holy grail of MVs - a 1916 pattern Mk 1 Rolls Royce Armoured Car somwhere. That's apart from the one stuck outside a military museum in India which must be another treasure house for the finding- viz the DH9s.

We didn't know about Kubinka with it's composite Maus and other treasures until relatively recently.......so never say never!

Whether you can get it out in a painless way is the big question!
