Goodmorning Boys and Girls,
Here's something to start the day
From Barnstormers:
BREWSTER F2A 'BUFFALO' PACKAGE ? FOR SALE!! The well known but seldom seen Brewster Buffalo package held by Vintage Aircraft Inc of Northern California is to be made available for sale. This collection has been gathered over many years and comprises wreckage and provenance of three aircraft including major sections and smaller components gathered from numerous sources. Exhaustive research has produced a vast compilation of construction drawings, factory photographs, detail photographs of the sole intact survivor and countless documents. The package has been assembled with the view to restoring three aircraft together, benefitting from the economies of scale that come with such a project (along the lines of the F3Fs, Oscars, Me262s and other limited batch projects). This represents a unique business opportunity for an entrepreneurial warbirder. Operated by US Navy and US Marines as well as the Air Forces of five other nations including Great Britain and Australia, the 'Buffalo' has long been considered the 'Holy Grail' of warbirds since only two complete aircraft are known to exist of the 507 built. One is in the Finnish Museum, the other is an excellent restoration project in the USA (with a US$4M price tag). The Vintage Aircraft Inc. Buffalo package is available now at US$225K FOB California. We can recommend a suitably qualified restorer to rebuild these aircraft if required. Contact Graham Orphan located Blenheim MARLBOROUGH NEW ZEALAND. Telephone: **64-3-578 9609. Fax: **64-3-577 6451. -- Posted 15 April 2002 -- Show all Ads posted by this Advertiser -- To send this Ad to a friend: Click here.
Speaking of Barnstormers, there are some very very interesting airframes on offer now inclusing a FlugWerk-190D, Messerschmitt Bf-110, Curtiss P-40 etc.
