Thats true, but the Apache is rarer. Should that not add to the value?

Judging by some of the responses on this forum, I can think of a lot of people who would be keen to return her to original.

: Seldom are parts retained from these hybrid's and
: often the component's are just thrown away.

You are right again, but who throws away parts that are still useable? Plus I guess Mustang parts are a lot easier to come by and cheaper than Apache parts, so its down to money again (theres a surprise!). If you can afford a flyable 'Mustang' or a static Apache, what are you going to choose?

: Regarding the conversion of 'Stilletto' back to a TF-51 -
: arn't we missing the point in that it wasn't a TF to start
: with !

Yes, but I?m sure we`d both like a flight in her?

I?m just somebody who likes to see these things flying and if the price is the loss of some of the originality, then thats OK in my book. It happens every time a new spar is fitted or a skin repair is done or the oil is changed or the tyres are pumped up.

I hope I don`t set myself up for an arguement here, its not my intention to wind anyone up. Just my 2 eurocents worth.

Cheers,

James D
