Brett
I was reading that the other day as well. I'm afraid the name of the owner of the second P-40 escapes me at the moment, however, I believe he is Californian. Also, this particular P-40 from memory bellied in several years ago and was worked on in the states before heading to NZ. Apparently when she crashed she was wearing a Flying Tiger scheme.
The site later talks about 3 P-40s being present so I suspect that this second one may be less advanced than Jerry Yagen's. It also mentions there being 3 different colour schemes. As the Yagen P-40 is going into Flying Tigers colours, perhaps this was written before the OFMC machine changed her scheme (the Hogan/Darby 'N-1 of course being in the sexiest colours ever, that of an RAAF machine, gotta love white tails!!!!)? Not that colour schemes really matter! The chance of seeing three P-40s in the sky would be magnificent, not something done too often I imagine.
Whatever happens, Wanaka looks like it's going to go off again. Wish I could get there!
Cheers
Andy
