But I need a second opinion from the resident wreck experts Cees and elliot and Phil Earthey
Guys, is it my fevered imagination, or is all that seems to have been recovered here, everything forward of the cockpit?
where are the wings, centre section and tail?
Karen, there is probably a MACV report filed on your Uncles crash, which may also detail the after crash investigation and clean up.
I would also strongly advise getting an advert, into the local press/internet sites, asking anyone if they have some pieces from this crash site.
Was the Merlin recovered at the same time, or do you know specifically which pieces were identified as recovered?
and for the P-51 experten, is the dataplate only in the cockpit, or is it repeated in the wingsection as well?
Tony
