I have been to California (L.A. area) once in 1997 so I took the opportunity to visit the Planes of Fame and drooled like you suggested. I went to Museum of Flying (Santa Monica) later in the day, but if I had known about the Yanks Air Museum at the time I would have visited. I kick myself for not doing the research. A relative of mine may be in the area over the holidays, so I may try a bribe to get him to take some pictures. ;-)
Thanks for the reply. It has confirmed my suspicions.

Mike
