Woo...cool idea. I think the Q was akin to an N but with a bubble canopy. It finished its career with clipped "square" wingtips, as a Thompson Trophy racer. Crashed at Cleveland in (iirc) 1948.
Course you might mean the original Q, which had a high back with the scalloped windows, and an aft-mounted rad that gave the nose a very slim, sleek look. Either would be a cool project using N components, I think...P-40 gurus??
