I wonder if the Smithsonian has the original Curtis drawings available. I figure the chance of finding the drawings for any of the various X-planes would be slim to none but ya never know.

I doubt demand would ever be strong enough to finance a new-production run of the type, but it sure would make an excellent one of a kind project for some innovative pilot looking for a unique show plane. It's definately one of the most attractive WWII-era fighter designs I've come across.
