This is part of a very interesting debate in other web-pages, regarding a Douglas C-47 belonging to El Salvador's Air Force. This aircraft was damaged in flight by Honduran Aircraft during the 1969 war, but was not shot down. The airplane made it to the ground but with a lot of hits from gunfire.
Damages were severe enough though, to ground the airplane forever.
I guess that they are trying to find out what the criteria is, in order to claim this aircraft as "shot down" instead of damaged.
Any leads, information, criteria or points of view, please post them here.
Thanks
Tulio
