Currently working on finding a missing Hurricane in Quebec just north of Quebec City. Located all the RCAF/BCATP reports on the accident that indicates that the pilot is still missing after 60 years. I have located the lake where the aircraft may have crashed/landed and through the ice. Trying to get a visit to the site sometime next summer. At the moment I am trying to get all the permissions and papers in order to visit the site and dive on the lake without any problems - if you know what I mean.

Though I had a wrench tossed in my search engine last month when I found out a guy in Quebec {who is selling Hurricane parts on barnstormers.com} may be looking for the very same aircraft I am and may have even dived on the very lake it crashed on - though he couldn't find it! Thank goodness as it may have been chopped up and sold on the net.

At the moment I am desperately trying locate the RAF/VR pilots service record and any of his family. I need to find the office/branch of the RAF that grants access to such files [any advice or exp out there???]. Can anyone help me locate the address, fax and possibly a name-contact. I wrote to some address months ago but never got a reply nor agknowledgement of my letter. Sorry cannot remember the address.

Also trying to locate the branch of the British Govt ie. Veterans Affairs that might help me locate any of the pilots relatives? Canada has veteran's affairs, can anyone tell me what they have over in England? Need their address and possibly their URL.

Can anyone help, hit a BIG brick wall on this and time seems to be running out for me.
