Worst: I have a feeling the museum which visited with much less than fond memories is the same place Eric was referring to. I stopped around the time the museum first opened its doors. One very grouchy person there was the lowlight of my day. Things were much improved when I visited last December.

Best: Contrary to Cindy's assessment I would have to say that my best museum visit was the Museum of Flying in Santa Monica. After about an hour of roaming around with my old reliable Cannon AE-1 and snapping photos inside and out a docent came up to me to chat. Were were standing out on the tarmac at the time, when I looked over to another hanger not far in the distance with the main doors open. I saw an plane inside and asked... "Is that a P-47?" He answered with "Would you like to see it?" I think he knew he didn't need to wait for a reply. Over we went and I got more pictures. I was about to say to him that I got all the pics I wanted and was about to thank him, when he said there was a P-38 in the hanger next door. He opened a smaller door which we stepp through and he turned on the lights to reveal a beautiful P-38. He pulled down the ladder at the rear of the cockpit and allowed me to climb up and photograph the cockpit. That really made my day, week, month and year!
