Jim Pearce's warbird imports

Hi all,
This evening I picked up the latest copy of Aeroplane (it takes a bit longer to get it than FP). I noticed the excellent news on the discovery of the Boston in Newfoundland (Oi!!!!! Canadians, recover it please, it has lain there long enough).
But the photograph of the warbird wreckage (because that is what it is) of Jim Pearce got me thinking. What is the use to import tons of shredded aircraft (only 10% of the aircraft he recovered were reasonably in one piece)?
Looking at the mangled sections, who is going to buy that lot and what are they going to do with it. I can imagine if a wreck is reasonabley complete like the Fw-189, Me-110's, Il-2s and some others, that it would be very valuable but who is going to pay a lot of money for scrap (beautiful scrap that is but just the same). Also in the article it was mentioned that he had imported some 45 aircraft (wrecks) from Russia, where have they all gone?
Cees (curious as ever)
