Agreed that there is some controversy about whether or not it is the right shade of pink. But that is inevitable.

Part of the problems with looking at pictures of PL965 is that no two really look quite the same. So I think your friend will have to in the end take his best guess and start mixing.

The company that came up with the paint for PL965 was Akzo Nobel Aerospace. Here is a link to a brochure on their website that features PL965.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, the shade of pink looks far brighter and more shocking in their brochure than in most other pictures I have seen. Nevertheless, they may be of some help. I would assume they kept the recipe.
