Hi Chad,

There was a certain amount of controversy when that scheme was first applied here in the UK. It was actually only used on PR9 Spitfires, not the PR11. The exact shade is open to debate as it was interpreted from a wartime colour photo. My guess is that the wartime shade was rather lighter than the current pink. Hewever if your friend wishes to replicate PL965 as she is today he will have no choice but to mix the colour by hand to match from a colour photo or take a trip down to Florida as there is no specific colour refernce to match.
