Hi david,
That is precisely what I am talking about. The project existed for the sole purpose of putting the aircraft in to the air. As owner Dick obviously has the right to sell it to whoever he chooses, I do not contest that. I was pointing out that static museums would not be high on his list of suitable candidates to be recipients of the aircraft as that would put paid to the reason the project exists. There is a big difference between the restoration and re-building techniques (and paperwork) employed on a UK airworthy project in contrast to a static. The additonal time and money to construct the aircraft to airworthy status have already been invested and it would be wasted if the project reverted to a static one. This is why I hope and believe this unique project will go to a buyer, wherever he is in the world, who is prepared to complete it as it was concieved. I am reasonably confident Dick shares this view.
