Mark - In having ownership of something you have the ability to decide what happens to it - if however you decide to sell it well your pretty much out of the loop
as regards her future. Lovely as it would be to see her fly again I feel that the ?1 million I should think it will take to buy and finish her will make many think more than twice. If you compare it for example with another unglamourous type like the Lysander well I should think that ?500,000 would get you a superb airworthy example
judging from past sales. Although admittedly not an amphibian - how many amphibian's get their feet wet as a regular occurance in the U.K - I suspect hardly any.
Unfortunately there is very little interest in flying boats in the U.K because of the practical limitations of what you can do with them - and yes I have been involved in the restoration of an amphibian so I have a rough idea of what I am talking about.
