I wondered why you never stopped by. We had to file IFR to get into Pope AFB Friday evening (about 6). They let us depart right after the Thunderbirds Sunday, so we got out before the weather deteriorated. Many show aircraft couldn't get in Friday and arrived Saturday morning. We put nearly 13 hours on Thunderbird this weekend (GLS->POB->GLS). I got about 3 hours or so of stick time myself.

The weather cooperated enough for the show to go as scheduled. They had a very impressive airborne invasion drop by the 82nd airborne, along with air cover by A-10s with "military strength" pyro.

In the way of warbirds, there was a P-51/A-10 heritage flight, Spitfire, A-26, T-6, BT-13, Stinson Reliant, Connie and of course, our B-17. There was also an F-86/MIG-17 mock dogfight. Also, the Aeroshell Team was there with their T-6 formation acro act (very impressive).
