MK 929 Spit

From AEROPLANE I saw a picture of a Spitfire being rebuilt in Houston, TX. I think I have the right MK # of MK 929. Anyone know some of the history behind this bird and how it came to Texas? Looking forward to seeing it in the Texas skies.
