Tetney High Sands Beaufighter

Hi all,

The post by Richard about the Beaufighter wreck at Tetney High Sands got me thinking.

I always thought this wreck was blown up by the military in the sixties or seventies because it was causing a safety hazard. But I have also seen photographs showing young kids and adults trying to dig out the complete cockpit (Richard were you one of them?).

Does anyone know what became of this wreck?
