what a bizarre comment, these aircraft are an amazing achievement, I have visited the hanger at Paine field a couple times, even sat in the 1st two seater, and the work is nothing short of spectacular,
different????!!
ya they used a reliable proven engine, would you rather they rolled back metalurgy 60 years and tried to replicate the Jumo in all its failure prone glory??
I am not sure why you even look at this message board, you obviously have no interest whatsoever in aircraft.
This is probably one of the greatest achievements in the area of aircraft restoration and recreation ever, so do not try to minimize it!
