I found that out for myself when I got home last night.
BMW 801 is a 18 cyl. 2 row, and the ASch 82 is a 14 cyl 2 row.
It's that I do remember seeing mentioned somewhere that it was a copy and that's why they were using it. Seemed reasonable at the time as the Russians copied just about everything else at some point.....!!

So the Flugerke 190's won't sound like a real FW190 then...????
