Tempests aren't as complex as say a spit but there is only limited knowledge of the a/c compared to the Spit and as such I think this is one reason why people don't go for them. One other problem is parts, there is a very limited supply as we are finding out now ourselves and another problem is drawings and other information, there is known to be some but getting your hands on them is another matter!. Basically, if it isn't a MKV then there's not much interest, the warbird world wondered why Kermit payed whatever he did for his MKII but in reality he got a bargain, an airframe with very few hours on her and history.
Tom ;) (all Tempested out after a day of paintstripping tailplane skins :-(
