Yes, I knew it wasn't going to be easy. Shallow water, but soft alluvial base, Clay substrata, so how far could the aircraft have sunk into that lot in 50 years?

I'm thinking of waiting till winter, as that part of the world has very severe icing in winter, and an eminent german Museum director tells me, they wait till the Ice freezes on lakes, before they use GPR, as it's simpler to do it then, then use a boat towing a fish!
