Hello Tony,
It depends on the conditions where the wreck lies: Is it submerged in shallow water, deep in the mud etc.
If there is shallow water then an underwatersonar could be used (we have a Humminbird 3D Panoramic for this purpose). But the denser the soil the more useless an underwatersonar becomes.
if it really is a marsh (soft soil, slush etc.) then you need some sort of groundpentrating radar or at least a good metaldetector.
Basically these marshy sites are among the worst you can have.
