THe F4U-7 operated by Lindsey Walton in England is the aircraft now with Tillamook Air Museum in Oregon. It had in fact originally come back to the US and was originally restored to fly by Gary Harris. He operated the plane from 1976 thru 1982, based at Mike Bouge's Power Pac Inc. (Hangar #5) in Oakland, CA. It departed for England in 1982, and returned to the US in 1993.
The plane you mentioned that is pictured in 'F4U Corsair In Action' is the plane Blain Fowler would eventually come to own some twenty years after that picture was taken. During the 1970's it was one of the primary Corsairs used in the filming of the "Blacksheep Squadron" TV series while owned and operated by John Shafhausen of Hayden Lake, Idaho.
