My choice is not what you might think, not a Halifax (too expensive). Only if I win the jackpot in some Casino.

My choice would be the HP Hampden. This is a simple (relatively) construction built in sections. The production process would be easier if done in subassemblies (like HP thought of when building his types) as well as being not too bulky airframes. The engines can be any radial if the Pegasus cannot be sourced (P&W also historically correct)

Joe is right about that it is not just a matter of two fighters joined together so the choice would have to be sensible.

The type is significantly historic enough to cause a lot of interest in the Commonwealth countries as well at airshows. I think people would flock to airshows to see a Hampden fly. Mossies would also be a good choice considering its wooden construction.
